Channelle Christina Pillay holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the Witwaterstrand and was admitted to the roll of legal practitioners in 2017.

Ms. Pillay completed her articles of clerkship at the Wits Law Clinic. Being responsible as a representative of clients under the doctrine of experiential learning, she was groomed into advocating on behalf of clients in an environment that strives to provide professional and quality legal services to the poor and marginalized groups in our communities.

Thereafter, she was appointed as a Legal Advisor specializing in labour and contractual law, conducting and initiating disciplinary hearings and providing advice on labour and employment law. She has extremely versatile experience in drafting agreements and contracts for Companies and Individuals.

She obtained litigation experience on matters pertaining to labour law; contractual law; conducting defended and undefended eviction actions in both the High Court and Magistrate’s Court; Criminal law, conducting various defended and undefended civil matters and family matters.

At large, the fight for human rights is her aspiration and she strives to use this passion filled with the professional skills and legal knowledge acquired to serve her clients.
